My story.
I began my design career in Chicago as a print and packaging designer. Over the years I have expanded my skill set to include digital and UX design, a process that has allowed me to see each design problem as an opportunity to improve the brand’s holistic experience.
I came to design in a nontraditional way after a 10 year career as an art educator. I found my experience in the classroom to only help in my transition. I had confidence in presenting and communicating information with clarity and I felt at ease managing multiple projects and timelines.
My background and training as an artist, a painter more specifically, has also aided my career in design as I have a strong grasp on color, composition, hierarchy, and visual balance developed over many years of making my own art. The practice of giving and receiving feedback honed over my years as an artist has also carried over.
When I am not designing, you can find me painting, cooking a new recipe, or outside exploring a local park with my husband and our dog, Duffy. I also love to travel and hope to spend more time doing so in the coming years.
