Print Design

The printed event collateral utilized the Drexel blue and gold palette but employed typography, patterns, and shapes connected with the Roaring 20’s era. My goal was to communicate a level of fun but also elegance in the designs, giving a nod to the fancy, dressed up parties of the 20’s.

Across direct mail, postcards displaying the schedule, and other event announcements there had to be consistency in look and feel. I achieved this by utilizing similar layouts but varying the pattern, shapes, or photography used.

Event Postcard

The event postcard was a piece dense with copy that would inform visitors of the weekend’s schedule. During the process of this design, I was focused on hierarchy of information and readability. I chose to highlight the event time for emphasis as well as a way to provide variety to each block of type.

Animation and Email

Another initiative I worked on during my time at Drexel was an animated Happy Birthday gif to be included in an email that alumni would receive on their birthday. I utilized the Drexel primary and secondary color palette to create confetti and used Photoshop to apply the animation.
